This REIT’s portfolio is focused mainly on the office and self-storage sectors. As at June 2021, Abacus’s had 23 office assets with around 127,000 sq m of lettable area, 96% occupied, while the storage portfolio was 93 assets providing 458,000 sqm of self-storage space. The company pushed heavily into self-storage in FY21 to take advantage of the super-reliable income of that sector and the strong brand name represented by Storage King. Abacus also has a small portfolio in super convenience sub-regional and neighbourhood shopping centres. We like the fact that Abacus stock is trading not far above NTA of $3.43 per share.
