Carbon Revolution

Carbon Revolution is the only company in the world to have successfully developed single-piece carbon fibre automotive wheels to the standards required by Original Equipment Manufacturers. In FY21 Carbon Revolution sold just under 13,000 wheels for $35m in revenue, but was loss-making. A $95m capital raise in April 2021 will fund Phase 1 of the first ‘mega line’ to manufacture the wheels cost-effectively. That line will have capacity for around 75,000 more wheels annually and will help markedly grow the business over the next two years, alongside what Carbon Revolution expects will be a marked increase in the number of programmes (i.e. supply arrangements) on which it is working. On consensus numbers Carbon Revolution becomes EBITDA positive in FY24, but there will be a lot of top-line growth before then.
