We spoke to Justin Virgin, Managing Director of Terrain Minerals (ASX: TMX), about the company’s interesting Smokebush Project in Western Australia, which could be a future source of gallium, the critical mineral.
At the Larins Lane prospect at Smokebush, Terrain Minerals has a JORC exploration target over just 5% of a 27 sq km area and metallurgical studies have commenced. Given gallium’s important use in semiconductors and recent Chinese export restrictions, this project is timely.
