We spoke with Nigel Broomham, CEO of Battery Age Minerals (ASX: BM8), about its flagship Bleiberg lead-zinc germanium project in Austria. This mine has the potential to become a major source of germanium, a critical metal, in the European Union.
Bleiberg was a functioning mine for over six centuries and the grades were particularly rich. Nigel Broomham and his colleagues are now preparing the first modern exploration campaign over an orebody that the experts think might still have millions of tonnes of metal left.
