After about $100m in development spending, Glenaras now encompasses an independently certified 3C Contingent Resource of more than 5,300 PJ, which represents in excess of A$40bn worth of gas. Currently, Galilee Energy is working on the pilot wells at Glenaras that will take the seams below ‘critical desorption’ and produce commercial gas flow rates. That in turn will allow the Contingent Response to be turned into a maiden Proved and Probable Reserve position.
