We spoke with Martina Blahova, CEO of Euro Manganese (ASX:EMN), about the strategic importance of the company’s Chvaletice Manganese Project in the Czech Republic.
EMN controls the only sizeable defined manganese resource in the European Union. It intends to recycle manganese-rich tailings from an old pyrite mine into battery-grade manganese.
Giving the high demand for non-Chinese manganese metal for batteries in Europe, the opportunity is a billion-dollar one as per the 2022 Feasibility Study. Euro Manganese is now working on securing offtake and financing for the project ahead of a potential 2027 Final Investment Decision.
