We spoke to Scott Williamson, CEO of Blackstone Minerals (ASX: BSX), about the company’s new Mankayan Copper-Gold Project in the Philippines. Mankayan sits only 2.5 km from the venerable Lepanto mine, which has produced copper and gold since the 1930s.
Blackstone Minerals believes that the existing resource at Mankayan can be substantially increased and is encouraged at the mining potential of the Philippines under current President Bongbong Marcos.
