We spoke with Justin Sharp, CEO of Environmental Clean Technologies, about the company’s innovative use of Flash Joule Heating (the same used by Metallium, ASX:MTM) for the problem of cleaning toxic PFAS ‘forever chemicals’ out of contaminated soil.
Justin and his colleagues in Houston are aiming for field trials late this year and expect to eventually to miniaturise the equipment involved, so that it is hand-portable. The payoff is potentially in the billions given the scale of the PFAS problem globally.
