We spoke to Rob Smakman, CEO of Alvo Minerals (ASX: ALV) about the 0.5-million-ounce Lavra Velha gold project in Brazil on which the company is currently completing due diligence as well as the company’s other projects in Brazil – the foundation Palma copper-zinc project and the Bluebush ion clay rare earths project.
Rob has spent many years in Brazil and has a track record of finding new projects. Lavra Velha could prove a ‘company maker’ given the gold riches to be found in the neighbourhood and the fact that the deposit is an Iron Oxide Copper Gold play.
