We spoke with Mohamed Aly, the founder of Edge AI chip designer EMASS that was recently acquired by Nanoveu (ASX:NVU).
Nanoveu just announced a collaboration with ASX-listed Weebit Nano (ASX:WBT) to incorporate ReRAM into its chips, which is a big step up in terms of chip performance.
EMASS’ technology is 20x more energy efficient than the Edge AI chips on the market today and the recent A$500m acquisition of EMASS peer Kinara by NXP shows that large semiconductor companies are extremely interested in getting their hands on this sort of technology.
