This Real Estate Investment Trust, which is part of the major property company Charter Hall Group (ASX: CHC) is focused on non‑discretionary retail properties that feature supermarkets. The assets are spread around Australia and are actively managed in order to increase shopper experience and therefore returns to the REIT. A typical asset for the REIT is Secret Harbour Square south of Perth. It has around 18,000 sq m of lettable area, WALE of 9.5 years and Coles, Woolworths and Aldi as major tenants. The Charter Hall Retail REIT benefits from very high occupancy for its properties (98% in FY21) and regular strong increases in property valuations. The NTA as at June 2021 was $4.01.
